Trieb is a project built around the idea of game, exploring its relationship with time and space. We designed and developed a milled metal chessboard with chess pieces that are made of wax and they are, in fact, candles. As they burn, the pieces progressively alter the board, changing the duration of the game and the dynamics of the match.
Together with the team at Capslock Magazine, we presented and launched the chessboard during an event held as part of Milan Design Week 2026.
